Are you a non-institutional, not-for-profit group?**
Are the majority of your board and members women or people experiencing gender-based oppression?**
*Definition: People who, because of their gender, gender identity, gender expression or perceived gender, experience various forms of oppression and/or violence, including women, trans people, non-binary people and people from diverse gender backgrounds. Indeed, women and gender-diverse people are disproportionate targets of gender-based violence (Women's Legal Education and Action Fund, 2020).
Do your operations take place in Gaspésie or on the Magdalen Islands?**
Does your organisation adhere to this abridged version of the Table's Feminist Declaration?**
“The Table de concertation des groupes de femmes de la Gaspésie et des Îles-de-la-Madeleine (TCGF-GIM) is a feminist network for discussion, support, information and action through which women's groups in the Gaspé and the Magdalen Islands equip themselves and work together to intervene in any situation where women's interests and rights are at stake, first and foremost at the local and regional level, but also nationally and internationally. The values of solidarity, respect, social justice and equality are expressed through the knowledge championed by the TCGF-GIM. These values underpin our work and our attitudes towards each other, and the TCGF-GIM is a place for sharing and exchange where a spirit of dialogue must prevail. Admittedly, the feminist movement is not monolithic, and many positions and debates run through it. Nevertheless, the members of the Table agree to defend the following positions: Equality between women and men and between people of all genders must be defended in all sectors of society; Patriarchal violence carries a disproportionate weight and has disproportionate consequences for women and people experiencing gender-based oppression; and The right to abortion is a fundamental and inalienable right.”
